been advised not to get an "r1" as first bike...so naturally im intrigued as to what it is/

Yamaha (sp)

they are fookin quite bikes.. think its a 1000cc jobbie but not totally sure

yes the advice was correct

you cant ride one legally till 21 anyway and until u have passed your direct access (over 21's)

lets just say, you hear people on here about xe corsa's with 150bhp

the R1 has 180bhp - and weighs around 180kg

aprillia is good fun and ideal if you're wanting to just play for a while.

you can get a restricted bike if you wish and derestrict it when you have full license.

as for the R1 weapon...

go for an R6 like me then (well not yet, but soon)

r6 is basically r1's little brother. easier to insure too.
