Hi All

Wonder if anyone else has had a similar prob to this or has any idea what could be the cause.

My car's been in and out vauxhall since last october after someone hit the side of it. Had to have a new rear quarter plus got a new wheel and tyre. The steering wheel ended up squint after it too as i'd been turning when i got hit.
I kept telling Vhall that the camber of the rear wheel wasn't right as well, so after 3 visits they eventually looked in to it and discovered the rear beam was twisted/bent. So in it went again to have a new beam fitted.
When I got the car back it drove a lot better but the steering wheel was squint again (as they'd strightened it to compensate for the rear beam on the initial repair) took the car back and they straightened the wheel again!
However after getting the car back on Thursday I now notice when driving on a straight stretch of road that if i straighten the steering wheel the car pulls to the left.
Took the car back to Vhall on Friday and a mechanic test drove it. He agreed that it was pulling to the left. But said to swap the wheels around so that there's definately even tread on both sides, if that doesn't fix it they'll have to investigate further. I had bought new wheels and tyres that were waiting to get fitted so fitted these. Brand new tyres all round.
Problems still there!!
On Sat I took the car to an independant 3rd part to get 4 wheel laser alignment done, they advised it was a few degrees out and rectified it.
Thought this would have solved the problem but it hasn't. The only thing is the pulling is worse over 30mph. It's only slightly out up to 30.
The car is running on 17's and is lowered 30mm with Koni's and Eibach springs. (Hence why I took it to and independant to get it aligned as Vhall were saying they were struggling to do it cause of the size of the wheels).

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers in advance

if you have paid vaux to fix your car, dont leave them alone till they have done what you or your insurance have paid for.

Sounds like the alignment is still out, but could be down to a lot of things! damaged suspension, wheel, steering etc

Contact your insurance and tell them your not happy with the repair work which has been carried out on your vehicle and quote everything you have mentioned here keep pestering them until your happy wiv ur car that is what your insurance is for u pay them so that if u have an accident your vehicle is repaired fit to be on the road and drivable or written off and cash pay out
i say take it all the way until ur car is sorted properly demand a courtesy car whilst yours is off the road claim for loss of earning if ur unable to get to work because of No courtesy car especially if your not to blame for the accident
