if i click a link - it opens in a tiny window

how do i get all links etc to opne in full size windows?

ok easy way,

open up new window, maximise it to the size you want, close original window then close resized window
then re-open IE or whatever you use, should now maximise every window you open.

1 Close all windows except the one you are trying to maximize.
Resize the Window by dragging it’s corners and/or sides until it’s as large as you can get it.
Click on File.
Hold down the Shift key and click on Close.
If that doesn't work, repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 and hold down the Ctrl key and click on Close.

BTW, IE is notoriously bad at remembering stuff.
