http://www.coolhomepages.com has a good logo section, and obviously loads of websites too for inspiration, best thing to make it in would be Illustrator , and do final touches in photoshop all depends what kind of logo you want corporate, modern, cool all depends do some rough sketches and get ICY or a design house to help you out

Well all I want is a logo for my website

Its going to be selling styling bits from abroad (hopefully, if all goes to plan - waiting on afew emails to confirm it)

Jodi's helping me out with the site but I need to think of a name & design a logo

I was thinking of calling the company AVS (Alternative Vauxhall Styling)

thoughts? or other name suggestions?

I wanted to call it PVD but apparently there was a company already called that & they have a bad reputation

AVS is a good name, short and could do a really nice logo for it, but the domain www.avs.*anything* are all taken just something you need to bear in mind especially if your selling parts i guess it will be online shop if Jodi is helping out too? also if your serious about starting a company u need to find out whether the company name is take at companies house as well... bit off track from the logo design / what you originally posted about, but its something to bear in mind
