at work, im startign to get a fair amount of post, headed to me only, and the comany 'open it for me'.
Is this allowed or not? i would have thought its an invasion of data protection.
If its not allowed, is there any written proof?

The company can open it as it is coming to their address.
I do my companies post and if the envelope has someones name on it i still open it butif it is a personal thing for them then it gets passed on to that person.
You cant do anything about it sorry

the receptionist opens the mail and passes it to the relevant person,
if its to do with your job then technically its not your mail
