Two men do a parachute dive and both land on a road which runs North to south, and they know the road runs this way. They know which way is north, and which is south. They want to meet up with eachother, cannot leave the road and have no idea who landed more northly than the other.
They decide how to meet up before they jump.
They do not have GPS and do not jump tandem or any other smart alec questioned type of crap
HOW CAN THEY EVER FIND EACH OTHER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HOW?

surely if they set off at the same time, they could see each other and therefore know where the other person landed (in a rough direction). Therefore they walk towards each other

this is a logic puzzle. they have no infomation about the road except it runs from north to south. they cannot see each other when they land, and so they cannot possibly agree to meet in a certain place as they no nothing about the road.
the information on how they find each other needs to be drawn from the information I've given you in the first post, so think!!

well you said it has a simple answer, and i gave one so whats the problem -
like i said, if they came down together, they would have seen each other in the air therefore they would know where the other landed and they walk towards them.
i know what you mean though, its a bit long winded to be a riddle answer but it seems about the most acceptable answers right know

i knew it was called tandem jumping really, was just testin to make sure you were on the ball could be one of those, they didnt have to find each other as they were already with each other? nooo ok then stupid bloody thing

when they land they both sit down and wait for mike to drive past, when he does they flag him over and ask whether he has seen another man wearing parachute gear. his answer will then tell them whether they are further north or south than the other guy, they then walk in the correct direction, and meet with arms stretched wide

so if one walks north and the other walks south what happens if they both reach the end of the road but at different ends???
they both head north and meet at the end of the road  most logical thing to do..
