Reet.
Got a Dell PowerEdge 4400 server.
Got a mirror set in it at the mo.
Want RAID 5 with 5 drives in it. Dell are useless when I've rang up. No one can speak english
Its got a PERK 3/DI on board chip at the mo.
The lad at Dell was saying I need another RAID controller but he didnt know why then he changed his mind and then said he didnt know!
Any idea how many drive the PERK 3 controller can support? He was saying 3 but then changed his mind!!

check the manual about RAID 5,
uh... or when the box boots up there should be some sort of 'PRESS owerjkerokew for configuration menu' message pop up which allows you to enter a configuration screen for the RAID controller? (not talking about the bios!)

what you have to do is switch on the thing-e-me-bob and make sure it is connected to the ma-hug-e-flip. if it does not work you have to configure the rotater splint ( Amercial pie) and patch across to willay's sack

As willay says just use the Perc 3D/i BIOS (Ctrl-A) utility to create the containers/logical-drives.
If you're trying to do this with the OS installed (these are non-system drives) then have you looked at the dell openmanage array manager?
