Has anyone run alpine subs inverted (magnet facing out) before. what is sound like? I'm thinking of doind it in my new install if it can be done.

yeah u can do it, it wont sound much different if at all, you just need to make the box slightl;y smaller as the volume of the driver is not inside...

alpine type-r have quite fancy backs yeah, but its keeping the wires looking tidy that is the problem.
