got annialated off a corsa valver i was goin to durham and sees 2 a kitted corsa and a standard lookin corsa, wasnt sure if it was a sport.... and i floored me car past em, then looks in mirror and the corsa shoots up my arse i was like fuck thats not a slow corsa that and i got me car stuck in 3rd think ive moved the gear selector, was sat on me arse, dunno if it was a let or just a valver cos had me music on too loud but was bloody fast, he had his bonnet open at arnison centre but i didnt get close enough to see it

buggery...... oh well mine handled better round the roundabout

was gutted was proper standard stylee, which i thinks cool anyway, its a shock when summat sits on ya ass, the acceleration of it though i wudnt be surprised if it was a LET wish id gone and asked him now

115bhp, 060 in 9.8-10 secs and not sure on the torque so guessing not shed lads of torque tbh

Means faff all really, need some graphs, proven figures etc. 'alot more torquey then a corsa' doesnt mean squat

Could've been a gsi with a few bits done, but I can't see your 8v being quick.

I'm after a mk3 (heavy ass) gti 16v It's not gonna be quick but I aint expecting it to be

Its all very well saying cammed and chipped all the time but do actually know what it all means? What profile cam is it? Fast Road etc? Your car is 115bhp standard and your lucky to have gained 10bhp on that with your cam and chip.

In a race like youve described the 16v is going to come off better.

haha - probably was just a sport and your a crap driver

I remember beating a golf 1.6 or something in my 1.2 16v - and I got to the lights and the guy wound down his window and said 'WHAT ENGINE IS IN THAT?' - and I said '1.2' and he said 'Nah seriously...?'

I said '1.2' and he said 'fuck I need a faster car than a golf'.

Thing is - it seems nippy because its 8v, where as 16v you had to get the power into the power band before it really pulled. So off the lights for example yes your golf may be nippy - but once under way I'd imagine it wouldn't take much for something to catch you up quite quickly.
