I drove through a pot hole on monday night and now my n/s front wheel is buckled. There's no other damage like a scrape or anything, just a kink.
I haven't checked if theres any suspension damage yet, but there's a vibration through the steering.

Can the wheel be repaired or do I need a new one? (its a titanium chrome finish)
And does anyone know how to claim compensation from the council?

btw
(I'm not a bad driver! it was dark and there was a car coming towards me)

This might be a long shot but....have you thought about going back to the pot hole and taking pictures....send it into your local council with pics of the buckled wheel and claim against them?? Might be a long process but you might just get a new wheel out of it. I know it has been done before so its worth a try mate.

my mate went through this about 1year ago!!!! he hit a pot hole and it fcuked his wheel, wat u need 2 do is take a photo of the hole with a paper next 2 it 2 prove the date and take a note of road name and then look for the closest lamp post which should have a number on it so the council can find the hole. then send all this 2 the council, it will take some time but u pay road tax so roads should be in good condition!!!
