okay, basically my drive is a hill. to get the car up, i reverse it, so its easier in the mornings to get it out. i have the corsa behind the prelude, and the prelude half way up the hill. now, to get up the hill (esp in the corsa) i have to give it quite alot of power. yesterday, i noticed when i reversed both cars, i had some substance on the drive... kind of watery, but i left it and blamed it on the cold weather.

lookin at it again this morning, its still there, and now it has a darker texture to it. yup, its deffo oil. this is serious right
the corsa is a 2003 03 reg, and the prelude is a 1996 N reg. both are running sweet, except the lude has no petrol now. both exhausts are on opposite sides, and i have two seperate lines on the drive.

any ideas?

oh, but the 'lude's oil stain is far far darker then the corsa. the corsa's is near enough gone.

check oil level and look for leaks?

Yeah, my oil level on my corsa is higher then usual (as explained here) and the preludes is in the norm. The prelude hasnt been driven in a month though, due to me not having any insurance on it, and yesterday i decided to start it, and as soon as i did, loads and loads of black smoke came out the engine. the car is fooked, so i took it for a spin round my estate (closed off mind) and i couldnt help but roar the engine. i love the sound

im not too worried about the prelude tbh, its nearing the end of its life. just thought it was a bit weird

will be soot mixed with water from condensation in the exhaust. no worries

Yeh its the shit from the road, i get it from my car, it does look like oil but if you taste it its salty
