I was washing my car today, and I noticed a crack in the windscreen starting from the bottom in the middle, rising about 5 inches, then turning towards pasenger side for about another inch. I'm pretty sure windscreens are the sort of thing you want to get replaced straight away, so I got my insurance book out and saw that it says windscreen cover.

Will this cover affect my NCB at all? and will they fix it for me because it could have been done whilst not being driven, i aint a fcuking clue how it happened

I'd phone em' up, but they close early on a friday, and dont want to phone the 24hr claim line until I know ill get a windscreen without bugering my NCB.

Cheers

you usually have to pay an excess for the screen of about £50 or so...

NCB is 75% chance it wont be affected, depends on company or not!

Nice one, I'll have to give them a ring then, I've looked in my Cover book and it says fuck all about what my cover does!

Ok, I rang them, and this is exaclty(ish) what I said:

"Hiya, Ive got a little crack in my windscreen and Im wondering if I were to claim, would it effect my NCB at all?"

He Said:

"Name adress and Reg No. please"

Me:

"Blah blah"

Him

"Ok, do you want to pay by direct debit or will you come into the branch to sort it"

Me: "Erm, Im not claiming, I aked you a question"

Him "Sorry, you have to pay £50 excess and it WONT effect your NCB"

Me : Cheeers - hangs up before he interrogates me for my credit card details

Cheers, I think ill leave it a while, my Dad says having a windscreen shatter on you whilst driving is over hyped, its not THAT scary he says
