Huh Your mate knows shit to be honest. If the russians got the 225 Mriya to fly, there is no doubting this will fly. What do you want to know? i know pretty much everything about it

There are 149 orders already for this aircraft, and about 300 reserve orders. Costs £289million.

Media keeps blowing off about airports having to extend their runways, that is bullshit quite frankly, the only adjusting would be for the docking gates i expect. With nearly 300,000 lb of thrust on tap (747 has a litle more than half that figure), its not going to require more runway than a 747, in fact it requires about 9% less runway per the conditions. So your average 10,000ft runway is more than sufficient.

Rolls Royce Trent 900's have about 82,000lb each. Although its no way near the most powerful. That belongs to the General Electric GE90 engine, with around 120,000lb thrust EACH

Mid next year at the moment. First test flight will be march/april. Maiden revenue flight will be mid next year once aircraft has certification.

the 7e7, nice idea but i dont think it will be as successful as the A380. 7e7 cruises at around 0.90mach, the A380 at about 0.85mach.
