In order for gobal warming to stop, every one on the person can just 2.5 tons of carbon per year
It is alomst impossiable in this country but third world countrys make up for us

thing is - if you watched something on global dimming the other day you would see that our polution is not only damaging the o zone, but acting a bit like a shield lowering our temp...
When planes stopped flying for 9/11 the temperature actually rose as more of the suns power was getting through (as the stuff in the emissions contained fine moisture that was cooling it down)
If we actually cut down the polution the earth will warm up and ice will melt... if we increase the pollution the earth will warm up and the ice will melt...
what ever we do we're doomed.
