Sounds clever. Wouldn't the sidewall produce a bit more stability vertically in the tyre than is shown in that pic?

Well I suppose with all those rubber spoke things they will be just as stable?

the basics of them have been usued for years in bomb proof limos etc but have always had side walls,

I'm assuming the ones available to the average joe would have sidewalls.
