polish only a few times a year!
Wash and wax once a week or so,
quick detailer for shows etc!

as long as u do it all in the correct order it will be alright,

when i get a car i:

full wash
t-cut
then wax

and most times the dirt should wash off, should build the wax up over time and not need to t-cut it with an abrasive polish
