yea probably a cv. pick up another one second hand for bout a tenner. replace the boot aswell as theyre about a fiver and pack it with grease. it will be more than likely the outer cv. take about an hour to sort it

u take the rubber boot off and remove the old cv with circlip pliers to release the circlip inside the cv. but all the hub carrier has to come away so the drive shaft comes out of it

but you forget to tell him that no matter how careful he is, he will end up with C.V grease in his arse crack... fact
