butto turbo a normal naturall aspirated engine you need yo lower the compresion ratio.
personally i dont thick 2 head gaskets or a thicker is fine. Also running a 5th injector that tricks the ecu and overfuels when the turbo spools up!
nearly bought a 1.6 nova gsi turbo 160 bhp, but decided against! its blown head gaskets about 5 times in the last year

Huh? Yes throttle bodies need setting up on a dyno, but its a one of thing if nothing major gets changed. They arent like carbs mate TB's are normally quite fuel efficient unlike carbs too. TB's are the way forward on the 16XE, turbo is too unreliable, so that is the unpractical one.

plus t'bodies sound awesome

i dont see how they can be unreliable coz once setup thats it they dont need anymore messing about after. a n/a engine converted to turbo would cause a lot of problems and unreliablity issues.

Go for TB's

put throttle bodies on it, then turbo it, and use the throttle bodies as an inlet, Jamsport did this on an escort RST with great results

best of both worlds really
