GTS has turbo - Import only.

240BHP is the decent one, older ones have less - change was 94 I think.

Id go for coupe over Tbar - windows used to mist up a bastard in the cold!!!

0-60 is in about 5.2s

Pro's - Spec, cons - Insurance

If the model you go for has LSD then its possible...but as colin said there very tail happy as the engine is in the rear...once it starts to go...unless you have experience in driving it you will end up facing the opposite way very quickly...

Also taking a corner in the wet on boost is strongly advised against...

Took me a while and a few pant-warming moments & a buckeled alloy before I learned how to drive mine to its limit in the wet, even then you have to be totally on the ball. And if theres any oil or that on the corner your fucked I found roundabouts to be pretty lethal!

to be honest an mr2 is a bit risky for your first rwd car, as some1 already said the engine is in the back so thats where all the weights gonna be. id look into a bmw e30 325is (comes with lsd) 170bhp and one of the easiest rwd cars to control, pedals take some getting used to but heard nothing but good about those cars

Ive owned both and yes the 325 was much more fun in wet, just a shame I wrote mine off then bodged it and traded it in

MR2's more pose appeal, oh ant the laydees used to love it

I wasnt sure which you had, but yes the straight 6 engine packs tones more punch

Dont be put off with the MR2's wet handling, its great fun in the dry and once your confident its still pretty chuckable in the wet, you just have to adapt your driving for it or it will bite back......my mate spun his into a lamp post on a greasy roundabout within hours of buying his
