well do exactly this:

right click on my network places, then goto properties
once there right click ure connection, e.g. network card
goto properties
once there drag the scroll bar down and look for something called "Internet Protocol" and double left click
under the settings click the circle saying "use the following DNS Server addresses" fill in the two ip addresses that u have.
Jobs agood en,

also if the "use the following DNS Server addresses" is grayed out u should put the ip address of ure router in the "Defauklt gateway bit"

What ISP are you with. As it may mean Tweaking your MTU settings.

Shouldn't really need to adjust MTU unless if its AOL really.
Have you tried to update the Routers firmware?

MTU will have nothing to do with it, and you don't need to put those DNS addresses in if you just select Obtain Automatically it works fine.
When the websites stop working, can you use other parts of the net like MSN?

sounds like either router is playing up or isp.

when changing DNS drop down to a command prompt and do

ipconfig/flushdns <enter>

then

ipconfig/registerdns <enter>

this will flush the DNS name records and reregister DNS on your pc
