I thought my bodge adjustments on the fanbelt worked yesterday, at least enough to get me home again... but nooooo, the belt decided to snap, and I lost all power halfway down a long straight section of dual carriageway... where everyone is doing about 80-90mph minimum!

And of course there was no street lighting, and my hazards only lasted about 5mins before the whole thing went dead

So im sitting there, shitting myself, thinking do I ring the police or what??
then traffic feds go past
then a police van went past
then another pair of traffic feds go past.... all of them saw me... none took any notice ! cnuts!

Anyway, it should of been an easy fix, I got my mate to run to halfords and pick up a belt, and bring me some tools, but noooooo, nothings easy in the world of Vaux!

Power Steering pulley adjuster thingymabob was seized, so cant get to the flippin fan belt pulley!! Aghghg! Why me!?

Anyway, I got a spare battery, which got me home again!

But now I need some bright ideas for getting the seized bolts off??
Its in a bit of an awkward place to go heating it up with a blow torch... so anyone got any cunning plans for un-doing sh!t that doesnt wana be un-done???

Dont you just love old cars !

u can get these things that drill into old bolts, meant for large bolts like wheels nuts, and they bite into the bolt and twist the opposite way, ruins the bolt tho

i sure they called something "die's" (sp)
