just been wondering this.. i got my car stripped out , engine (c20xe) going in soon and im lookin for some new rims to go with the rally style, maybe some black ones but i want a spare to make the stripped out rear not look so bare ...

if its stripped out, just remove the well, weld a plate in its place and have the wheel bolted onto the boot floor

Not something I'd do personally - but what exactly do people mean then, when they fit dual exit exhausts and remove the spare wheel well

i persoanlly think mines pretty strong without a well,
it has a plate welded full lenght of the back of the car, looks neat and welds are strong
