aye its faster than AGP, its a two way serial connection instead of the single parallel connection that PCI used to have. Each line can handle about 2 gigs/s and there are two lines

Its faster newer technology but not really any software/games that take advantage of it. Even the ATi x800 is a bit over kill. I recently bout a radeon 9800, which was top of the range towards the end of '03 and its kicking ass

No, there'll be plenty of space. Youl'll just lose 1 PCI slot, which you'd do anyway if you wanted to run 2 cards at the moment, but they'd run together.

Right now, there really isn't an reason to upgrade to a PCI Express card, especially if you have a high-end AGP card. Though the available bandwidth is doubled, no card max'es out AGP x8
