The white supra that doesn't seem to change gears...did a 1/4 in 8.4 something...can you explain in plain english how does the engine work?

It must change gears. A quarter in 8.4 needs a terminal speed of well over 100mph.

maybe its got one of the new type gear boxes i heard mentioned for the new golf gti, its selects the next gear before releasing the current one? so its appears like you got seemless power the whole way? (but that prob just me talking crap)

I think its just a GM drag transmission
or.... the good old elasto thingy that Austins tried out back in the day.... the faster they went the larger the 'cog' got, inceasing the gearing i doubt it tho

i dont know the supra ur refering to but it may be a worm transmission? Constantly changing ratio so the car is always in the right gear, or are they still in development?
