Just got an insurance quote for a 1.8 SRi 2004 Corsa. Ive just turned 20 with 3 years NCB, 3 points on my licence, been driving 3 years and fully comp in my own they only want £972.30 on a car thats worth £8500! I think that sounds good considering my age etc.!

Wot you reckon?

I take it you are going to get a nearly new one, rather than brand new ? Don't buy brand new, i bought 2 brand new corsa's and it was the worst thing i did

£972 on that is a bargain fully comp, when i'm 20 with 2ncb i'll be paying just short of £500 tpft on the 1.4 worth about 2k, and i've got no points etc cos i'm a good boy

Well I cant get insurance for a Nova GSi but that is probably cos its classed as a boy racers car. Only wanted it as a 2nd car to restore

Insurance companies can be funny. Like ive always been able to get a quote for a 2.0 16v Mk3 astra from Tesco, but they wouldnt give me one for a 1.6 corsa Sport .

Recently got a quote of £1150 ish for a 1.8, which isnt bad considering im 19, 2NCB and paying £850 for my 1.4 .
