I know that it aint a modem as a modem and adsl r totaly diff BUT its jsut a name for them

no a modem is a Modulator de modulator, how ever adsl is diff so

yes i know an adsl modem doesnt have to convert analog to digital and vice versa but they are still called modems, i think you should stfu and edit your post

They are only called modems because if they were named something else it would be another word for the idiots to learn, would confuse a large percentage of the population even more than they already are.
