you stand to be corrected 21 here, i'm an "IT analyst", which is basically supporting the network and users, i'm on 23k. Previous job was working on a helpdesk, I was on 21k. Just need a good set of skill and exposure to a MS network

I dont have any staff under me, although i did have my own temp bitch that i was in charge of to do little jobs

Depends where in the country you are looking for a job. Round here our IT Helpdesk people are paid anywhere between 18K and 23K, and that's first line. Most of the desktop support guys (2nd line) are paid around 24-25k.

No it's not London, but Milton Keynes - city of Roundabouts

Seriously though, my wife is a recruitment consultant so much more qualified to answer this than me, but she's in bed

i've been helping him learn how to use the software and prepare proper drawings as he only designs frames and never done a b'regs application or any foundation settings out etc

so i do quite a bit more than him

if i don't get a pay rise i will quit i think

So basically your a CAD Technician?

I am a trainee one at the moment, and people that i work with been there about 3-4 years are only CAD technicians and do all that e.g. foundation designs, building regs, dealing with client queries and costs. Though i think they do too much they only earn around 16k pa.

i'm not spoon fed with things to draw tho, was given a field and a sketch of a house to start with
