I've narrowed down my choices down to these two cars. Gonna probably keep them standard.
What one would you go for of the 2?

The 106 is a 1.6 16V with 125bhp.
306 is a 2.0 16V with 167bhp and a 6 spd gearbox.

Are there any problems with the two I should know about?

Cheers

I'm not going to give you a proper answer because the amount of times I have seen you post up about 106 GTi's I have grown bored of it.

I just want you to purchase one.

Depends what you want, both good fun cars. I had a 106 GTi, build quality wasn't great and it was cramped but was really good fun. I'd say go for 306 IMO as it's bigger, probably slightly better built etc

So did my 106 IMO always crunched, never felt solid. Never had many probs with it though apart from the common dodgy idling at traffic lights etc air bag lights can come on (loose wire) but apart from that there aren't really any obvious faults with them. Just give it a good look over

as long as you have the cash to keep the 106 on the road go for it, their fucking high maintenance though

You'll have more footspace in the 306, it's a better handling car, and there's nowt wrong with the gearboxes in the GTi6.

Black Nova GSi, full interior re-trimmed in black leather, A-pillar pod with a couple of nice gauges, set of Speedlines, 50mm drop, Magnex full system, immaculate standard outside other than clear side repeaters and exhaust.

Perfect, do it.

Either do as OJC says or buy a standard black 106, slam it on standard anthracite wheels, nice subtle exhaust and save your £££ for TBs

Yeah the book said my GTI was 0-60 in 8.5 seconds or somthing!

Was more like 7.5 easy. Some days it just got on my fuking nerves but when it was singing and dancing i've never had more fun in a car

I was eyeing up a 306 GTI before actually.Mint black one.BUT i swore i would never own another peugeot again.

306 rallye if you dont mind loosing a few comfort things, faster and handles better than a GTI-6

also they have a massive turning circle

Summed mine up a treat there. One day i'd absolutely hate it and want to burn it, the next i'd have the biggest grin from ear to ear... lol

Never had mine RR but book figure is 120bhp. Absolute blast to drive, keep the look simple (splitter, 15"/16" rims, full exhaust system) and spend the rest on tuning it. Not the most reliable of cars, but when they're running right you won't mind much that's as much fun factor per £££.

Get a new as one as you can afford too, they got better down the years.

stfu you anus there is no way a 306gti is better handling than a 106 gti, from i have been in a 306 gti and the body roll is far more noticable, 106 gti lowered handles like a go kart

Well the corsa is better built and the XE has a good rep for being pretty much bullet proof if looked after properly, plus is faster than both of the others
