It wasn't that I think 6.9 is slow it's just that is I seen it was reported at just under 6 seconds.

It won't do 0-60 in 6.9 either, they will de-tune it.

It should do otherwise it wont sell... CTR is now 6.6 so it needs to be at least that with 237bhp

6.9 is good amongst the rest of the super hatches.

The C4 VTS is something like 8.3 0-62 and I'd imagine the Golf GTi being low 7s.

Just a shame the Astra is "styled by Raj" or whatever that means...

People won't buy it because it's quicker than a CTR, they'll buy it because they don't want to be seen delivering cakes and pastries.

6.9 is pretty awful really... it cant weigh much more than a CTR so with the extra 40bhp they should be pushing 6.4 ish

Golf GTi I heard was 6.9 or 7 dead

Its putting its power down through the front wheels and probably weighs a fair bit so as said its not bad compared to the competition IMO. Yes I no that the others are front wheel drive too but still think its a good time

To compete with the Civic at 6.6? Being honest, no normal driver will ever even be able to replicate either figure, never mind it making any difference in use and not under test conditions.

Sub 7 in a front wheel drive car is an acheivement, sub 6 would be unsellable because of the compromises.
