i want to change my task bar colour from the standard grey colour......to black.....
how can i do this?

Yes, ME is the worst operating system to ever come out of Redmond. Seriously. I had a proper shop bought copy and I removed it so I could put my "special" copy of 98 back on.

BUT... its true mate

i had Win ME for over a year and what a pile of shite! so bloody unstable ESPECIALLY with windows explorer!
get XP with service pack 2!!!! MUCH MUCH better, soooo damn stable!

with win ME i would find my self restarting the comp from a crash once day at LEAST! with xp i cant remember last time my comp crashed or was unable to recover and i had it for 2 months so far, spec is nothing special either, p3 700mhz with 128mb

but answer to your question... right click the destop > properties > apperance, and u can change things about
