i rang o2 about 2 weeks ago to cancel my phone, and wehn i've woken up today where it normaly says "O2" it say not registered am i right in thinkng its been canceled?

I'm not sure, yes if your network logo is missing. However I know on vodafone you need to give 30 days written notice to end your conract and can not do this over the phone. I'd ring their CS people and double check

Yes, i cancelled mine and they still took money for about 2 months, that taught me to check my bank account
I always cancel with the bank now straight after i cancel with the company

You outa contract then? Cos I know with T mobile you have to pay all your remaining months line rental till the end of contact period even if its cancelled...

YTou've been lucky mate, i WON a phone they took my details and sent out a brand new Sony J70 (well i twas 3-4 years ago or something) they gave me a 14 day trial period and i could cancel it at anytime...

about 10 days later i phoned up to cancel it as i hardly used it, they said yes no problem box the phone back up and we'll send a courier to collect it...

told my mum and all hell broke loose they said i could not keep the phone unless i paid £230 ( so many months line rental) i told them i'd won it and i was keepign it and they were gettin sweet fuck all from me or my bank account so i canceelled the Direct debit

Ended up i got to keep the phone after months of arguing..
