Right i have been told that i am getting a laptop for xmas and giving my computer to my dad.
So basicly can anyone tell me anything to look for? good places to buy from and good brands.
I want a big hard drive. a DVD and CD burner. Bluetooth and wireless networking and a decent graphics card so i can play games like GTA, Colin mcrae etc
Decent screen and battery life
Not so much a desktop replacement but not a notebook type thing.
Please help

if you have the cash then you want an Alienware - especially for games if you go to the high street shops, they'll try and sell you toshiba's and compaq's which aint too bad but nothing special, do not buy a packard bell or anything as shit.... asus currently do a few nice ones but u need to buy them online really, and sony's are always very good quality, all depends how much u want to spend really

Go for a toshiba.
www.dabs.com are about the best place to get one.
would do a shameless plug for my company but dabs do laptops cheaper than me

i repaired 4 toshiba's in last 3 months m8, build quality is crap on them mr myatt

Yes but compaired to that of cheaper laptop like e-machines etc from pc work they are great.

ive got an alienware laptop only thing sometimes it overheats and uve gotta wait for like 15mins b4 it comes bak on
