Basically the deadlocking wasn't working on my Astra, so I had to get a couple of bits from Vauxhall as they were broken on the lock barrel, fitted them and now I got it working but the whole locking/deadlocking from the driver's door doesn't seem to work perfectly!

Spent all day trying to fix it and I just gave up in the end! Unless someone knows what I'm doing wrong, I think I'll have to admit defeat and take it into Vauxhall and get them to sort it!

I bought items 13, 14 and 15 from Vauxhall the other week. I have no idea where number 15 goes, I reckon that's why it isn't working properly.

I wish sorting problems out on cars was straight forward!

Rant over.

It's a screen shot from EPC, the parts program that Vauxhall dealers use...

On one of my Mums 306s, the CL motor went and Pug wanted £400 to replace it So she sold the car to them and told them and signed a form saying she didn't know of any faults to the car as she wanted a newer one anyway

I had the answer when I was semi-sleeping this morning!

Tried it and it worked!

Basically the roller has to go into a square hole in part #14.

It works but not perfectly as such, I need to grease up the actual moving bits as it sometimes sticks, and I think I bent the metal rod that goes from the central locking thing on the door > door handle.

Oh well, job for next weekend!

i had to replace the same bits on my car

it was a spring on the door striker that had caused part 14 to break. it becomes mangled and eventually it breaks
