Decided to go for the Miltek in the end- mainly cos I have the option of adding on the sports cat later. Really happy with the result- doesnt look too different from standard but it sounds fantastic. Really nice low burble on tickover and a lovely growl when your giving it some. Best bit has to be the popping and burbling noise you get when lifting off the power. No drone on the motorway either.....Very happy with my choice - would definately recomend Miltek

Heres some pics,

I was going to get the quicksilver 6*4 oval--- the miltek got better reviews from all the mini forums though...... The resonance is just what i was looking for

Standard one is very restrictive..... Car now sounds fantastic. Induction kit has amplified the supercharger whine and the exhaust has given a really nice low growl---- very loud when you give it some, but not for off standard noise levels when you drove slow in top gears........Stops the neighbours from complaining lol

Is it me or is it half an inch off centre to the right as we look at it?

Might just be the angle...

Just checked it and its right in the middle--absolutely level.

May be that the exhaust was very warm when the pic was taken---i had just ragged it back from birmingham. My exhaust used to change position slightly on my old car when it was really hot.

Still think its the angle of the photo thogh

Get a new pic up then as I still reckon its slightly off centre...nothing major to worry about...it still look cool man...

as I said that up close pic looks very much like its slightly to the right as u cant see the left hand side of the bumper

No- I bought the exhaust because all the mini forums rate the miltek as the best exhaust for the cooper s. Its also one of the only exhausts with a matching sports cat avaliable. Amd obviosly only deal with miltek-- and from my experiance i would say that they are not wrong in rating mltek as a top exhaust

maybe its ok for the BMW things then ?AMD rate miltek becasue they get a masive cut of the profit, they will push thme to all the VW owners claiming silly bhp

eg, my mate at work had a 150bhp gti, with a £400 remapp miltek exhaust he was told his car was raning 210bhp

it actully ran closer to 175bhp on the R/R at another location

Did he really need a rolling road to relize that bhp figure was rediculous--- 60bhp from an exhaust and chip lol. I know the figures amd have quoted me are accurate from the rolling road tests of www.mini2.com. Amd quoted me around 200bhp with miltek, induction kit, reduced pulley and remap.

Ive never had any real work done by amd-- i just use them to buy parts from as they are local...cant really comment on the quality of the company-- they have been alright with me so far
