Sounds like you lifted off and put the brakes on - hence spinning ...

Should of nailed it and pulled yourself out of the dirt (possibly needing a bit of opposite lock as the rear would of been in the dirt by now)

i did a classic spin in my corsa....

Flew past all the other folk, onto a round about, swapped ends, managed to stop..... facing them coming over the roundabout.... so i waved

yeh to be honest, seeing that corner coming up I was thinking 'ah here we go' - plus your car must weigh a bit more than mine does.

Was controlled to quite a safe stop though. When I did a similar thing and kept my foot booted, it caused my car to fish tail as the weight shifted back on to the other side and then go straight.
