Also take off the chrome trim on the boot panel and get it colour coded, I have seen this done and looks alot better.

cos it's on clips and would need more effort filling and painting than just spraying the chrome panel.

I'm leaving the chrome strip, the boot looks big as it is, without that it'll look massive

Yup, also taking off wouldn't look right as it is quite thick and matches the lines on the boot panel.

Removing the badges could cause the same effect... I would get it photoshoped before doing it.
