as title says do you have to have any logs or data from what car / reg plate the engine came from to be able to get it corrected on current cars log books etc.

I've sent my V5 off with the log book from the car the engine came from.

when i did mine, i just went into the DVLA office with the engine number and my logbook, and they filled it in and sent it off. althogh they need proof of fitment if its below the lower tax threshold

look at your log book
there a section where it say, changes to detail, just fill it in and send if off

Yes, just fill in the new engine number, size etc and send it off.
