Off the line my GSi used to get beat by VTR's (100bhp ones), once they were rolling the GSi could beat them.

Early VTR's are shocking, my SXi used to keep up with them

I had this very race the other day and lost. It was from a rolling start though and I only started when I realised he had. And I had a 45kg Ikea cabinet in the boot That car knows its place.

I beat one many years ago in my Sport.

There's not loads in it.

y do people belive this myth. i have owned both and can quite catacorically say that both are almost identical till 70mph or so when the newer 98bhp models will slowly creep away. also if u have kept up with a vtr in your sxi they either werent trying or as many unfortunately are it was probably a badged up furio etc as there is no way an sxi would keep up with a vtr round corners or in a straight line
