it'll be tight, but I think if you remove the bolts from the arches and bond them on you'll get away with it, but not with more then 2 in the back.

No, you should be fine, stock rims are only a little bit smaller then them so jsut the de-bolting is all you'll need really, should not really go over any big puddles as i suspect some aqua planing issues!

quick q for ya, you don't know what the general rental for a weekend is up there for a hotel? and roughly brisbane return to sydney? looking at being up sydney at new years eve

In the City, you are looking at 100 bucks (40 quid) at somewhere half decent, around Pitt/Elizabeth street. Brisbane/Sydney return can be as low as 200bucks if you book early with

The drive is excellent and can be done in 6 hours of fast driving , 8 taking it easy. I got here in June, so not seen bridge at new years yet, but parents saw it in a penthouse they were living in over the harbour .
