I'm starting to miss things about my old cars even though i really like my astra

I've had a decent mix over the years but i think i'm still trying to find 'The One' I've always wanted a scooby but i feel if i get one i'll just find things i don't like about them so i don't think i should get one.I always wanted a Pug 106 GTI but after owning a Y reg Minter it wasn't all it cracked up to be

I also think i'm addicted to buying cars in a way!

Here's a couple of cars i've owned...A few good and bad things about each one.

If anyone's bored try and see what car would suit me most out of all the good things i choose..Pics of all cars in garage BTW

MK4 Astra 1.4 16V...Slow on the open road/////Really nice to drive as Astra's are..Easy modded..cheap to run and insure.

Audi 1.8 20V Turbo...Got a bad one which had been in a smash and the clutch was fuked,Thirsty if booted..Turbo kicks in at 2K which don't help,Not really sporty to drive and can't handle being pushed///// Pretty quick! , Very comfy and quality was awsome ,The 'Badge' , Insurance wasn't that bad really,Brakes,Leather Int , Climate control.

Pug 106 GTI...Really twitchy in the wet, Pretty uncomfortable and annoying to drive slowly.Noisy as hell..Insurance wasn't cheap..Dealership , Flimsy bodywork ////// Very quick when in powerband! Raced a lot of cars that were meant to be mega quick and held it's own, Handling, BRAKES , Black paint, Leather and alcantara.MPG was exellent.

MK4 Astra 1.8 16V SXI...A bit slow ..Brakes are crap as no ABS, Engine note, A bit slow Reasale value..Bit crap on petrol///// Handles well (With new kit and 18's), Colour, Can take big rims with ease, easy to mod, Comfy, Insurance is cheap, Mate works for Lookers so cheap parts and servicing even through the books.

I really feel a jap car is in order but i can't really afford the insurance on a Scooby/RX7

Any ideas or views people? I'd love not to be in debt so i could have an old Golf GTI 16V to spend all my money on but that ain't gonna happen for a while

well by the sounds of it, he likes a nippy car, which is cheap to run, good handling, turns heads...

So the golf is the one i recon

nippy = 1.8T, same as the audi he had? nippy
1.9 TDi, not very quick off the mark but will spank most things with its torque

cheap to run, 1.9TDI is like 45-50 mpg?

good handling and fun!

And if the golf above me went past me it would turn my head

Sound like you in a right pickle trying to find the car you want

I would go for a Seat Ibiza Cupra. Or sell up, pay off loan and get a nice cheap car like a Mk2 Golf GTI like you say.

I'm selling my Corsa, paying off loan and getting a cheap car. Then saving for something nice a quick I can insure in a couple of years

Soon to be 24 Ben mate

MR2 Turbo is well up there if they weren't so much to insure!

Should have bought a Seat Cupra before i got my Audi Alex i think Always wanted one but it had to be in balck and they are rare as fuk

Think i'm gonna save like mad and pay off my loan and get somthing faster when the insurance will be cheaper
