This notice has come about the trade recently from the organisers of the donny shows, have a read through...
Hi all,
We at the Donny Office are already planning the 2005 season and there are
some exciting new additions to both RIPSPEED Donny and RIPSPEED Donny South.
The dates for your diary are
Doncaster 9th & 10th April
North Weald, Essex 14th August
One big addition for Donny South next year is the all new...............
NATIONAL CAR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
RIPSPEED Donny South at North Weald Airfield in Essex has now established
itself as one of the UK's biggest one-day modified and performance car
shows.
2004 saw over 1000 club cars on display and the time has come to recognise
the effort of the hard work put into the club displays.
The 2005 event scheduled for August 14th will host the first ever 'National
Car Club Championships' with £5000 in cash prizes up for grabs, YES, FIVE
GRAND!!!!!!!
1st place - £3000, 2nd place - £1500, 3rd place - £500
Open to any modified or performance car club in the UK, the displays will be
judged on various criteria including:
Presentation of club stand, theme etc
Quality of vehicles
Members appearance
Size of club and benefits to members
If you think your club is best of the best and could walk away with the top

... Right this would be a great opportunity for the website to get something for the quality of the cars on here, theres nothing saying corsasport cant win this. I'm offering to sponser this stand if wanted as we have worked on quite a few of the members cars. With this I can organise the stand with anyone who wants to help, get banners made, window stickers (with usernames on maybe???) i've got gazebo's, a dj and mc's etc. Also i should be able to get us a decent location if sorted out soon, no being dumped in a corner somewhere where no-one walks.
What does everyone think? If you'd rather not then dont be afraid to say.

Id be up for it - our stand was okay last year - but didnt reach its full potential - people disappearing afetr one day - no banners, no site logaos - no club feel - every1 thought we were just part of the Total vauxhall stand
My cars going away in January again - comes off the road in December for some extra work - so should be more show worthy and noticable next year

We had a v good turn out 2003,
There is no reason we could win this,
With rich's help, national organsers getting off their arses and a bit of work we could get CS looking mint.
Remember PVS2003?
All out 2003 shows were great. We have better cars now imo.. and also more members.
We just need to get people to come!

people unfortunaltely dont seem to be interested in the shows now due to the 'max power' image which is a shame, i still go to maxpower etc with the show goers and its a damn good laugh. others are put off by ott cars and only seem to want to see corsas that all look the same ie speedlines and a gsi bodykit..

Looks like it could be a good turnout then. Corsasport will count as a car club im sure but ill check out with the show organisers, and theres nothing saying that they have to be corsas really, most users on here who have other cars started off as corsa owners at some point, it'll just have to be set out properly to make an impact. I could prob organise something for donny north aswell if anyone is interested
