How long does it take to start up an account? Does it all happen there and then or do you have to wait for it to be verified or anything?

you gota be verified

they pay a few pennies or take a few pennies from your bank account to verify its properly yours & when you confirm it they take/put in however much it was to make it back to normal


usually 2-3 working days cos of time taken for banks to process it

you 'can' send directly from a credit/debit card, but if you want a proper account, you need it to be verified (ie, to pay in to your account from paypal & also charge a paypal account)

how can i send directly from credit card then? i have to sign up to paypal and then what? wanna do it straight away lol

yo dont need to sign up to send from your CC card directly

http://www.paypal.co.uk, click Send Money & then choose by credit/debit card

I had that, the short answer is it depends on the card. I had the magic 0 limit on my own card, so I registered my Mum's CC with it and got to send money instantly.

Log in... goto Profile, then look for Credit Cards. You can register your bank account to allow transfer to/from that too.
