Can somebody run through what options and how much they are for coilovers for the Corsa. Really I want something I can adjust the height and stiffness of....

For people that have them, how much difference did they make to the handling? Worth the money?

Everyone rates the Fk Highsports, they are good, I have them on my wide arch one.
On the other one I have a Whiteline kit, very pricey but put FK's to shame, with rideability and damping.

How much for both those kits Venom?

Are the more expensive ones worth the difference?

I'm not buying just yet, but I'm planning ahead as I'm starting to get the car ready for the Nurburgring next Easter!

The FK coilovers I got, were lowering range from 20mm-80mm from FK in Frankfurt, £400 and odd quid if I remember rightly and still in very good nick.

The Whiteline's are another class, you can throw the 2litre corsa into bends and it feels natural and less roll, I would say the price difference only justifies itself if you think nothing of paying silly money, I paid £1199 for the kit. As it was whiteline worked for the corsa.

£1200 for suspention does seem a lot!

Really I shouldn't cut corners with the car, but I don't think I can justify that much!

Are the FK's the best value for money in that price range?

Yes to my experience, but there is the new KW Coilovers, which I've never tested out, heard good reports on them though. I'm sure someone will pipe up in this thread soon enough about the KW's.

And yes £1200 is a lot and it's wallet rape but I'll just buy anything, my priorities are right as regards if I need money for house stuff then I'd get that first before the car habit.

The FK,s are great, if used in conjunction with whitelines THICK anti roll bars front/rear...

I agree with venom asthey are theres way too much roll etc.. but get the anti roll bars on there and its a dream now...

The bars are only £90 each and are easy to fit, if u want anymore info drop me a u2u.

Whats the gen with FK's then. I have heard people have had problems fitting the fronts with large wheels - they catch the helper spring right? Does this always happen? I want some coilovers been looking at whats available but I got 18x7 on an ET49, does anyone have experience fitting the coilovers with similar wheels?

No they're not - the top of the range FK's are the Silverline Plus X's.
Identical to the Konigsports in terms of performance, but they're highly polished and stuff.
Then there's Silverline Plus' which are the same as Highsports.

My FK's go on fine with no spacers on 7 x 17 ET45 once the camber was setup correctly...

if you want it to handle nicely u do need the whiteline ARB's....

and 1800ed, with et49 i am pretty sure u will need 5mm spacers to get it to clear the strut, but this shud be the same with any coilover.

Will the Whiteline ARB's make a big difference on a normal spring/shocker combo then?

Seems like I should get these now!

Best place to get them from anybody?

Cheers
