Astra that is BTW...was at a garage.

Car was up for £9995 which is well overpriced and said it had 51K also but i went along for somthing to do

Astra has a brand new engine and turbo because the seals on the turbo went and fucked upthe engine and it got changed under warrenty at vaux.

Said he would give me £3500 trade in for my astra which ain't to bad then he worked out the 'Figures'

Came back with £6530 somthing left to pay because i got the 12 months extra warrenty.

Now get this....

For 48 months it was £210...Right.. I got home because i was me and the GF were going somwere so i just said i would think it over.

I got out the Calc and divided £6530 by 48 and it comes out as £136 ish

I then times £210 by 48 = £1080 So it went from £6530 to £1030 which is even more than the price of the car in the first place!!!!!!

Fucking cowboys.

If you are getting it on finance, which it sounds like you would be, then £85 interest over 48 months, is actually very very good.

Don't forget he's putting £3500 down so only borrowing £6495, £6530 after addition of a warrenty.

48 x £210 = £10080. That makes charges for credit on the 4 year agreement £3550 which no, is not great.

Total amount payable for the car is £13580. Loads of money.
