hi
been to look at a colour concept this evening. its an nreg with 87k he wanted £3699 for it, it was in mint condition inside and out apart from rear brake disks looked abit worn and there seemed to be a little wet patch in the engine.
does the price hes askin sound abit steep or not????
is it likely to be an 8v or 16v (i know nothing about what they look like under neath lol and the guy who knew wasnt at the garage)
its in the green if this makes any diffarence??

Will be 8V mate.
I would say do a quick price check on Parkers if they let you go that old.

8v's painfully slow....ive drove 8v GTi and to be honest didnt think it deserved the GTi badge. Id hold out for a nice 16v GTi and forget the CC

Not liking the performance figures though

its in the green, colour thats the same as 7up bottle. matching leather center sections in seats and door cards too. got today off so may see if theyve still got it.
could hold out for a 16v but they dont come with all the nice bits the cc's do
and it would be more to insure

Deffo pay the extra for the 16v!!
Ive had a go in a few of each & the 8v felt very sluggish
