look at pheonix gold comps, they about £100 a set, and quite good quality.
i took my sub and amp out and just got comps in the end.
sub is just excess weight and not worth it

Yes they are quite good, either that or buy a Mox Poor mag and order from companies in back of there.

aye, get 2 sets of comps (front and back) and get a decent quality 4 channel amp (push about 50wRMS more than what the comps RMS wattage is) and your laughing
caraudiodirect.co.uk are pretty good for prices mate
edit: - im guessing your not going to use the standard vaux HU?

alright mate, well make sure you get a decent amp (PG, JL etc not sony, kenny etc) and wire the comps up to that and place abit of dynamat (or other) either on the doors or around the speaker atleast...and you will have a nice little setup mate
as for the comps, infinity's and PG's are pretty good, especially for the 100 quid range, although you might have to play with the settings on the crossover (if they have them) to get the right sound - ie: ive got the infinity's and had to drop them -3dB on the crossover for the tweeter as it was tinny as hell, but now sound not bad (not for sub 100 quid speakers anyways)

the biggest improvement i made to sound quality was a decent headunit.
i have 4 comps running from HU, no amp, and i find it fine, loud enough, really balanced sound etc....
