im wanting to put a 2ltr in either and mod it sublte like, GSi kit and slam it on small wheels. nothing OTT. i wanted a corsa before so il be able to get my private reg on it, but novas are so much faster and in my opinion better.

is it worth buying a corsa just sdo i can have my reg or not and which would u say is better?

i never knew that, but of course that aint a possibilty. what would be great is to put a nova body onto a corsa, that wud confuse people cnt be that much work involved, everythigns the same underneath aint it?

All your arguments are flawed, Nova interior with GSi dash, seats, and all the trimmings is much better than Corsa interior, seats have better material and have the same suede on the bolsters as whats found in the 106 GTi.

I find the Nova to be more cosy, as for having less problems with the Corsa? How? Its the same car with a different shell, you will be changing the engine anyway.

thats what im thinkin ollie. engine will be changed and will hbe so much faster in the nova. its the same car so seen as the corsa will only be 1 or 2 years newer surely the same shit will break.

im thinking of a full GSi interior in black leather, purple respray with white wheels with full GSi kit. may keep the kit grey tho, not sure. and probably get coilovers, cos 60mm aint low enough i dnt reckon.

what u reckon ollie, will it be a decent enough project?

Not at all, the nova is older in design, and just because there are corsas 1 or 2 years newer than the last of the novas, the design is years ahead of it

So much faster I doubt it, the nova's a small bit lighter.....I doubt you will hardly notice a difference!

Get a Corsa - newer and much more good ones available!

If you are prepared to deal with the faults and want the extra speed you will have over a corsa, then do it.

But a corsa wont need welding up to handle the conversion, and isnt going to rust away if you neglect it for a day or two

This is still bullshite, the older Novas are made out of better metal than the newer Novas and Corsa, look at high mileage & the first Corsas, all the chassis legs are rotting away while early Mk1 Novas are still going strong.
