Just renewed my insurance on my corsa, FC, 2NCB, value 6k and it cost just over £500
Thinking about buying a shed nova 1.2 from a mate for £50 so just got a few quotes 3rd party only with value of £75....... lowest was £475
How does that work then?

did you tell them that you were already insured on another car? if so most companys only use ncb for 1 car not 2, so in effect ur second quote may have been with no ncb.

nova might be a higher risk to them cause it more likely to get stolen or broken into

this wouldnt matter if its only a 3rd party cover,

3rd party, fire + theft however would change this...

This could be true i found out that my corsa sport 1.6.16V is group 11 but an astra GSI 2.0 16V is only group 8. My nova SR was alos group 8. Boy racer image and higher risk of being nicked

because u can still crash and cause damage to other cars, if it were a scooter of more value it would be cheaper
