Ha ha. Finally managed to get through to cossvaux to find out how much there conversions are...

Jeezus the bloke I spoke to was the most arrogant ive ever heard in my life. Do you do corsa engine conversions - "yes we ARE the best in the country". Told me that they had done 50 conversions and noone is better than they are. So how much I said. He said £2200+ depending and that the 'average customer' spends just over £5K....

So are you competitive with other companies that do conversions, named a few in the midlands to which he answered "NO" we are the best, we dont have to be competitive because the others are complete shit....

So how soon can you get me in then?... He said he's booked up until April next year. Well I want it done in the next couple of weeks I said, and that Griffin Performance can get me in in two weeks time. "Well anyone that can get you in that quick is complete shit really arent they" he answered.

What a twat

PVD used to have a number very similar to the AA... loads of people calling for a Weather check or to arrange a vehicle inspection.

TBH its just his attitude that got me. I imagine they are good at what they do and prices are just about reasonable but to talk to me asthough I havent a clue about cars. TBH i'd love to have mine done there - get a problem and shit in his face...

Plus the fact ive been trying to get through for about 3 weeks on various numbers and havent, left a v.mail yesterday and they didnt return my call...

Knew him for ages before I did, and still was spot on with me. Not many people sell you a car and chuck you in a free brand new bottom end

Go and see him in person if you have a problem!

Beardy, they have 2 units on that estate (one garage and one bodyshop), plus they are moving to the otherside of town to new premesis, so both "sites" are there at the moment.

Mattb, totally agree (well I'm bound to LOL), but if I was to build the car again, I'd be looking a lot more than 6.5k! Mind it's still a lot of dosh for a corsa, even I'll admit that! But when it puts a mega grin on your face you forget about that

I for one (or another one ) can vouch for Cossvaux and Will. They are damn good at what they do and like anything in this world, faults happen. Mine had a bit of an oil leak that required a lot of work cause it was coming from a hard to reach place (typical for me. Couldn't have just been the gasket ) I rang them and told them on day 1. They said bring it down next day first thing and they got straight on with it and sorted it that day.
Maybe Will was blowing his own trumpet, but TBH he has a right to do cause he knows his stuff and gives the right advice.
I'll be tuning my engine over the winter and I'll be going to Cossvaux

I like Will and his sidekick, however me having good experiences with them doesn't affect Tomas's case.

i know someone who described them to "ruining his corsa" and the words "northern monkeys"

I have no personal experience with them, but i would never pay £5k for an engine conversion

5k is for more than the conversion

i'd imagine brakes, susp etc etc

I spent 6.5k on mine.... including car and all parts......

700 for brakes
600 for wheels
2000 for car
800 for engine
700 for fitting kit
500 for cage
200 for harnesses
500 for seats
500 for suspension

so.... i got a very good deal i think... on labour etc etc

Im not even sure it was Will, ive spoke to him before on the phone and didnt sound like him, sounded older?

For the £5k that was purely engine conversion and bay dressing... He was talking bout alloy washer bottles, header tanks and silicone hoses etc - no mention of brakes, suspension or wheels in that...

LOL guess I must have caught him in an off moment, my car aint going there LOL...
