pull off a lead and put a spare spark plug in then get g/f or dad to turn it over to see if it's sparking ok. Then you need to check it's fuelling, normally by smell, but you can pull the inlet piping off to the TB to see it. if that's bad then you need to start from there.

no i mean when you are trying to start it..... not when u turn the ignition on.

If it was a pooter problem the light would flash.

ah rite no it doesnt then.
it shouldnt be the plugs or leads because they have both been replaced in the last few months.
only things i can think of are something electrical or a fuel problem.
yesterday i was installing my amps and two power leads knocked together and it blew the fuse on one of the leads. i replaced it and all ice was working ok, u reckon it did something to the electrics? maybe i should check all the other fuses

could have blown the fuse for the fuel pump ect, or if you have an alarm fitted it can also interfere in that way, spesh if its a standard alarm

yes, his name is James

Seriously tho i think that the ai606 has a dual circuit immobiliser. One to stop the engine from turning over, and another to cut spark/fuel pump?

Just check fuel and sparks first, then work back. fuses are a good idea, then check if the fuel pump works by bridging the back of the fuel pump relay with a bit of wire and see if it runs the pump. could have upset the alarm, can you turn it off then try to start it??

Look at the battery see if all the earth returns are connected i had this problem a couple of days ago on my other car, one had been severed. Me and the mechanic thought it was a toad problem but alas it was not.

still no luck with the car, towed it to a mecahnic i know and he reckons its something electrical and he cant do it.
i just remembered i unplugged two multiplug type things behind the ECU cover in passenger footwell, and the alarm made like the clicking noise when you disactivate it. I think that it may have immobilised itself and thats why the car isnt starting, any ideas on how to reset the alarm or something?

Took a look today for tom, seem to be ignition realated, seemed to havea weak spark.
Nearly started once the leads were on the right way round

Don't worry Tom, I'm sure it's the coil or amp now, the spark was very weak, so probably being blown out.
